What

The college women’s retreat is a mountaintop “weekend” to kick off the New Year. You can expect teaching to encourage and deepen your faith, fellowship with other Christian college girls, a taste of some Camp DeSoto traditions, delicious meals at The Farm at Windy Hill, and a cozy stay in a Mentone cabin.

Who

This retreat is for young women who are 18-24 years old. No previous experience at Camp DeSoto is necessary. We hope to see former campers, staff members, staff applicants, and the friends you bring along!

Why

We want to offer college girls a chance to connect with friends and be spiritually nurtured before you head back to whatever Spring semester may hold. Whether Camp DeSoto is your home away from home or you’ve just heard about it for the first time, we want to share the peace of the mountain and the joy of Camp friendships with you.

When

We will gather in Mentone on Thursday afternoon January 2nd around 4 pm, spend all day Friday together, and say goodbye on Saturday January 4th around 11 am.

Where

Since it will be winter and the woods at Camp will be chilly, retreat-goers will stay in Mentone houses with central heat. Expect to pile in with friends and make new ones quickly!

You can request “cabin mates” you’d like to room with, and we’ll assign your housing.

How Much

The cost of the retreat is $50 per person. This will help us cover the cost of meals and housing for everyone.

We don’t want this fee to be a barrier, though! If you can’t swing the cost but are still interested, please reach out to Emily.
