We will begin accepting Staff Applications for Summer 2027 on October 1st, 2026. Applications are due by November 1st, 2026. If you have any questions about the staff application process, contact Emily.
Camp DeSoto Staff walk in love and rely on grace.
Camp DeSoto counselors are Christian college women who want to love and serve campers in an outdoor setting. They are nurturing, hard working, creative, thoughtful, and fun. They are teachers, leaders, servants, and friends. This job will stretch you. Being a Camp DeSoto counselor is hard work. You will be challenged to lean into God’s strength and discover your own depths. And you will have the best summer of your life!
The joys, friendships, lessons learned, and campers loved will enrich your life forever!
Camp DeSoto staff members must be at least 18 years old and have completed their freshman year of college by June (unless otherwise discussed with the directors.) All Staff members are required to attend Pre-Camp Training. Some staff members may be asked to attend an additional specialized activity training during based on your activity preferences.
If you are hoping to be a Camp DeSoto counselor this summer, we encourage you to nurture your faith and spend time with kids! Find a job babysitting or volunteer at an after school program. Look for opportunities to care for other people and stretch your service muscle. We look forward to talking with you about your experiences.
